Here is the Sally Ride painting for the 2009 Hall of Fame in the Air and Space Museum. She was called to Washington D.C. by the president to sit on a panel discussing the future of space exploration by NASA and was unable to attend the induction dinner. Hope to meet her some day as she is here in San Diego and has an educational based company promoting engineering education for young women.

The Air and Space community lost a shining star in Sally Ride, she will touch the face of God just like those who left this world on a path much different than her days in space. She will be missed but certainly not forgotten. It was with great pride and honor that I got to paint her portrait in 2009, I will look back on the hours spent creating it as time well spent. I appreciate the compliments, but her accomplishments out shine my abilities to create. May she rest in peace.
